Here's your February Poole LINk update !
Looking for Readers....
We're looking for 5-10 volunteers to form a LINk Reading Group. If you'd like to help the NHS & the Council produce easy to read reports, without all the jargon, please get in touch. The Reading Group will suit you if you've got 2-3 hours to spare a month, enjoy reading and want to make a real difference from the comfort of your own home. If you have access to email it will help with this role, but it's not essential; contact Louise to find out more.
Tell us about Poole Hospital
We want to find out what happens when people leave hospital. Have you, or someone you know, recently been an inpatient at Poole Hospital? Were you given any support when you left hospital? Were your family & friends involved in your discharge plan? Please tell us your story, contact Louise on Tel: 0300 111 0102 or Email: louise.bate@makesachange.org.uk.
Social Care Cuts in Poole
How are the recent changes to social care affecting people in Poole? Have you been re-assessed by social services and had your services changed or cut? Have you, or a relative or friend, stopped attending Day Centres because of the increase in charges? Please get in touch with Louise and have your say.
LINk work with Poole Forum
The LINk has teamed up with local learning disability group, Poole Forum, to put together a visiting team. Trained volunteers from the LINk and Poole Forum will work together, visiting health and social care services in Poole. This project will help us to check out local services and find out what people really think of them. If you'd like to get involved, contact Louise for more details.
