Oxfordshire UNLIMITED
is focussed on enabling people with physical difficulties to do what anyone without such difficulties would do in the community. UNLIMITED is an organisation controlled by people with physical difficulties.
Aim:
The aim of Unlimited shall be to gain equality of opportunity for people with physical (including sensory) difficulties due to illness, accident, age, or disease who may be disadvantaged because of those difficulties by the employment, goods, facilities, or services provided in Oxfordshire.
Objectives:
In order to achieve its aim Unlimited will represent and support such people by:
- Promoting and advising on the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act to ensure compliance with it.
- Improving the attitudes of both people with physical difficulties and the community in general towards their involvement in everyday activities.
- Working with providers of employment, goods, facilities and services to ensure the inclusion of people with physical difficultiesin all parts of that provision.
- Using and promoting the use of all legal means to educate, empower, enable, and encourage people with physical difficulties to make controlling choices over their own lives.
- Campaigning with and on behalf of people with physical difficulties in promoting their interests.
