Isle of Wight LINk Work Plan Consultation:

The Isle of Wight LINk (Local Involvement Network) is moving into an exciting new phase where Island residents can share their opinions during a four week consultation that starts on Friday, 13th May. This consultation will allow you to let the LINk know what matters most to you from a ange of proposed areas of work to be undertaken by the LINk on behalf of Island residents.

Volunteers Wanted

Enter & View Representatives needed…

The Isle of Wight LINk has statutory powers to make local peoples’ voices heard on health and social care. Together we can help to improve services for local people. These powers include the ability to enter and view specific types of premises where health and social care services are provided. We need volunteer representatives who can help in this important role.

There is also the opportunity to volunteer on each of the project areas highlighted following this public consultation. You can get involved by working as part of a team, individually or take the lead as a Steering Board participant to make a real difference to local peoples’ health and social care services locally. Volunteers will be provided with relevant training.

Already a LINk volunteer?

If you are attending a meeting on behalf of the LINk, then this is just a reminder to let you know that you will need to complete a LINkParticipant Report so we can share what the meeting achieved on behalf of LINk participants and what steps the LINk should take next to ensure improved health and social care services for everyone.

If you are interested in taking part in the consultation, becoming a volunteer on LINk projects, attending meetings on behalf of the LINk or becoming an Enter & View volunteer or Steering Board participant, then please get in touch with the Isle of Wight LINk by calling us on the local rate charity number: 0300 111 0102 or email isleofwightlink@makesachange.org.uk. For more information on the LINk and its work, please visit out website at: www.makesachange.org.uk.
