Bournemouth LINk report on Personal Budgets
Bournemouth LINk received a number of concerns from local people about the proposed changes to self directed support / personal budgets. The LINk decided to undertake a project to fully investigate what action the local authority had taken in this respect. This was, therefore, added to the LINk work plan in December 2010.
Our investigations are still ongoing. The report is due to be published in May.
If you have any concerns or observations about Personal Budgets or Direct Payments – please get in touch.
Consultation on future proposals for Boscombe and Springbourne health centre
NHS Bournemouth and Poole are seeking views about the future proposals for the new Boscombe and Springbourne Health Centre, based at Palmerston Road. This consultation summarises the comments which have been made about the health centre and puts forward proposals for how many of these may be accommodated in the new build.
You can respond to the consultation either by post using the form on the consultation document or via the onlinesurvey. Please make sure you read the document before you complete the online survey.
The closing date for the consultation is 25 April 2011.

Bournemouth Council has now replied to the report that we submitted to them last month. We are analysing their responses to the LINks recommendations.
The full report and the Councils response is available on our web site. An easy read version of the report and response is being created and will also be available on the LINk web site.
The LINk and Bournemouth People First will be visiting four day centres to explain the report and the council's reply to the recommendations, in mid April.
Understanding your patient needs Help form our Single Equality Scheme – The Royal
Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are committed to providing a health service that respects and responds to the diversity of the local population and to ensure that equality is delivered in our services and policy making.
We are also committed to developing, supporting and sustaining a diverse workforce that is representative of the community it serves.
As an organisation we want to gain a better understanding about the needs of our patients and staff and would like to hear the views of our diverse service users.
This will help us rewrite our Single Equality Scheme which will set out new equality objectives which will be regularly reviewed and addressed through the Trust’s Diversity Committee.
Please follow the link and take part in our survey..
