Welcome
This website covers the LINks for which Help and Care is the Host Organisation, namely:
From 1st June, 2012, Torbay LINk has been hosted directly by Torbay Council. See this page.
Ever wanted to speak up about a health or social care service in your area but not known how? It might have been to offer an opinion on how
things could be improved, or talk about an experience – good or bad.
Well, now you have the opportunity. A LINk (Local Involvement Network) is a network of local people and groups. It listens to what you have to say about health and social care services in your area, and tells councils and the NHS what it has discovered. They are then legally obliged to give the LINk any information it asks for and to respond to any recommendations the LINk makes, so that services can get better.
Tell Us Your Stories
Your local LINk wants to hear about your experiences of health and social care. You can help to make the first steps towards better health and social care services.
Please tell us what you think about hospitals, supported housing, day care, GP services, residential homes, sexual health services, dentistry - and anything else about health and social care in your area. Contact us by phone, email, post or tell us online now by going to the discussions pages to have your say.
Volunteer Now!
Volunteer with your local LINk to make a change.
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the LINks, in a variety of ways. You can give as much or as little time as you can, and we offer all the support you need for these roles.

Find your Local Council
Your Local Authority (council) is where you can go for information about what social care services are provided in your area. You can find your local council on the Directgov website:
We collect your stories
Part of the LINks' job is to monitor local services. One way of doing that is to listen to people's stories about health and social care. We've teamed up with Patient Opinion - an independent website about your experiences of health services - so that we can hear more about what people are saying about health services across our LINks' areas. We read all the stories posted on Patient Opinion about the services in our areas - and this helps us to hold services to account.
